Overhand Throw: Statue: Students turn sideways Muscle Man: Students make a muscle with their throwing arm Superman: Students point with non-throwing hand where they want the ball to go Swimmer: Students throw the ball with a nice follow through mimicking a swimming throw Word Wall: Overhand Throw: to throw the ball over your shoulder Underhand Throw: to throw the ball under your shoulder Fine Motor: small muscle movements especially in the hands Gross Motor: large muscle movements |
Its important for students to practice using both their left and right hands. When students are given the task to stack the cups and take them down as fast as possible they are teaching both the left and right side of the brain to work together.
