Tennis & Badminton:
Striking refers to hitting an object with one’s hand or an implement. For this unit, students will be using various implements with the first one being tennis and badminton. Students will focus on controlling their racket to strike or hit the ball with control and accuracy, an important motor skill used in a variety of sports. Students will be encouraged to try the forehand stroke as well as the backhand stroke with the overall goal being able to not only make contact with the ball or birdie but to get the ball or birdie over the net. |
